I'm an elopian

So today was the first day of work and it was fantastic! I could not ask for a better place to intern at. The morning was spent getting a tour of the building, signing into my 24" i mac, and meeting with everyone in the design group to discuss projects. Then at 11 we had our lunch with everyone at elope inc. Once a month they have lunch for everyone and what better day to start work than on a free lunch day! It was a great way to meet everyone. We had BBQ sandwiches, beans, salad, carrot cake, and cupcakes for dessert. This company is really a family and I think that is what I like most about it.

The second half of the day was continuing our morning meeting and I learned so much about fabric and production today that my brain is swirling with information. The office is such a creative and fun environment. I have a lovely fish tank near my desk with some rather large fish and whimsical hats and glasses float around all day.

When my uncle Pete and I got home, aunt Mary had dinner and champagne ready for a toast! I also had a lovely message written on my package of clothes I got today from my wonderful mail room family! Thank you guys so much, you mean the world to me and this was such a nice surprise.


The clouds finally cleared up this evening and you could see the mountains. This is what I see every morning, Pikes Peak! Because we have been getting so much rain it has been snowing a bunch up on the peak.
